Haim Saban, the Israeli American millionaire, has done many great things…like brought the world Power Rangers. He’s also the subject of one of my all time favorite lingual faux pas. When taking part in business negotiations with KISS frontman Gene Simmons, Saban turned to his Israeli partner and uttered in Hebrew, “Now we gut him like a fish.” Gene Simmons is also fluent in Hebrew.
But I digress. Yesterday Saban published an incredible op-ed piece in the New York Times explaining his support for Obama, and reaffirming Obama’s support for Israel. As the republicans look to make Israel a partisan issue, it’s going to take more prominent Israelis to fully combat their intent.
